Conservation
from archive reportBuilding conservation this year concentrated on Building 5 in the North Area which was excavated last year. All the walls and features were treated so that this building can be put on display to visitors. Artifact conservation during the excavation was undertaken by Kent Severson, who treated ceramics, basket impressions and bone. A red and black geometric wall painting from Building 2 was lifted as a block and treated, it has now been put on display in Konya Museum. An infant burial with bead anklets and bracelets was also conserved and lifted in a block and put on display in Konya Museum. |
