FUTURE PLANS
A very exciting prospect is that we will be joined during the 1997 excavation season by a team from the University of California at Berkeley under the leadership of Ruth Tringham. This will not only allow larger parts of the excavation area on the North mound to be opened up. It will also mean that a wide range of new ideas will be introduced. For example, Ruth Tringham took part in the 1996 TAG session talking about her work on hypertext at Opovo. Sue Thomas at Cambridge has done some preliminary thinking about this for Çatalhöyük and hypermedia is an important area for future development in the research at the site.
