CONSERVATION

Dr. Frank Matero, University of Pennsylavania and Connie Silver have been spending 1995-6 conducting research into how best to conserve the wall paintings and plasters. After conducting preliminary trials in the field in 1995, assisted by Meltem Delibas, they have taken samples for analysis in Pennsylvania. They are at present building simulated walls so that the effects of various treatments can be monitored.
